The second annual Cardinal Honor Run, a 10k, 5k and Fun Run/Walk, will raise funds to provide food, shelter and support for Veterans and Military families of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. The Cardinal Honor Run is an official event of the Nebraska Sesquicentennial, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Nebraska’s statehood.
The event will kick-off the Cardinal Festival on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. This fundraising event, sponsored by Siouxland Federal Credit Union and Cardinal Days, will begin and end at Scenic Park, Riverview Dr. in South Sioux City, NE and will cross over the Missouri River on the Veterans Memorial Bridge into Sioux City.

Audiences will BOO and HISS at our villain, Archibald Q. Snidely, as he enters a boarding house for retired movie stars in an attempt to steal their films and sell them to a ‘new fangled’ television station. The boarding house is populated by caricatures inspired by movie icons of the 1930’s such as W.C. Fields, Edgar Bergan & Charlie McCarthy, Charlie Chaplin’s Little Tramp – and even Dracula. Will Snidely swindle the deed to the home out of the hands of Nell and her grandmother? Or will truth and justice really triumph again?
