South Sioux City is home to more than 170 acres of parks and offers a variety of recreational opportunities and programs. Sports facilities include the new 5-field Riverfront baseball and softball complex and the Jeff C. Dible soccer complex consisting of 15 fields, all located in the Scenic Park area of South Sioux City. We can assist you in locating a facility, securing room blocks, guest services and even assistance with your event.
For the child in everyone, South Sioux City provides 7 playgrounds, 5 tennis courts, over 6 miles of trails, indoor and outdoor pools, a campground, and 4 basketball courts located in the city limits. Even more facilities are available in nearby Sioux City.

Siouxland YMCA
South Sioux City has been chosen as the future site of the Siouxland YMCA.
The current Y location on Nebraska St. in Sioux City was built in 1956. The Siouxland YMCA "It's Time!" fundraising campaign is currently underway with a $5.6 million goal. The new Y is designed by InVision Architecture to blend in with Scenic Park and the Missouri River. Instead of a rectangular facility the building will be built in a curve design, somewhat in harmony with the river curve. The 45,000 square foot facility will feature a gymnasium, fitness center, child-watch nursery and five locker rooms. The Y will be able to accommodate 9.500 members and is expected to break ground sometime in 2006 and will take approximately one-year to complete.
